Sharp Develops a Gigantic 156 Multi-Screen Display System
The pleasure of watching something in a big screen is pretty much lovable by many. When it comes to watching a movie, many a people tend to go watch in a big screen even if they own a home theatre system. The smartphones with 3.2 inch screen now turned into 4-inch and now to the 4.3 inch screen. Like wise, people are crazy in spending time and money to visit an IMAX to feast their eyes than watching it in the local theaters. This chain of big thing happens everywhere, when some big next thing is discovered. Sharp might have observed this and developed a new and cool multi screen display system that makes the whole room into a giant display.
This new screen system is developed and installed at a theme park called Huis Ten Bosch Co. Ltd. in Japan. Where this display system is framed with 156 screens on the floor, walls and ceilings. Each panel is of 60-inches in size and they are Sharp PN-V601 screens. This new attraction is named as 5D Miracle Tour and it is cool and interesting. As aforesaid, the floor is also placed with the screen and visitors will stand behind the railings which are built behind the room. This is open to public on April 29, 2011 (Friday, Japanese public holiday).
The front wall consists of 36 monitors installed, similarly the floor and the ceiling. The side walls are positioned with 24 monitors each. Officials of the theme park claims this could be a major attraction and people tend to watch underwater views and other types of movies. Anticipating that, technology may develop in a faster pace and this can help in designing the future screens where one will get a chance to walk on them.
