Vivo mobile is all set to stir up a storm in handset market in the beginning of March (March 1) and many of us cannot wait to get our hands on it. However, we did manage to get a demo unit spotted on weibo to get the first look of the upcoming smartphone. For late comers, XPlay 5 is the upcoming smartphone from the Chinese brand that also happens to be the first ever to feature a massive RAM of 6 GB. While, there is an ongoing debate regarding whether we need this much RAM on a smartphone, we could not help but bask in the magnificence of the Xplay 5 that found its way to our office.
The main highlight of the handset happens to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 6 GB of RAM, which is unheard of at the moment. An Antutu leak is doing rounds on Internet that shows Vivo Xplay 5 score an unbelievable benchmark score of 1,62,610. Needless to say, this happens to be the fastest smartphone to have exist.
On the design front, it comes with a metal and glass boy with a slight 2.5D curve on the edges that makes it feel premium in hand. The front panel of the handset houses a 5.5-inch display that offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels as well as an 8 Megapixels selfi shooter. Its rear panel on the other hand features a 16 Megapixels camera accompanied with LED flash. This new handset from the brand is a must have for any pro user who want their smartphone to fly and expect it to be the fastest on the earth.
While the debate is still on regarding the RAM requirement on a smartphone, we certainly appreciate the snappy interface and no lag whatsoever owing to 6GB. However, we would not want to part with around INR 50K simply for 6 GB RAM, when 3 or 4 GB RAM serves the purpose well. Vivo X Play 5 is all set to come out on March 1, 2016 and the world is waiting with an abated breath.
