The sub-brand of Micromax, YU recently listed a mid-range 4G smartphone called YU5200 online with a decent set of specifications. Now, a new handset codenamed YU YU5530 has been spotted on the online benchmarking website, Geekbench. This new handset posted a decent single-core performance of 816 and multi-core performance of 3059. Surprisingly, this score is higher than some of the most powerful handsets in the market namely Huawei Nexus 6P, Motorola Nexus 6, Motorola Droid Turbo and HTC One M9 to name a few. A monumental feat considering that the device will be most likely placed in the mid-range segment.
YU has managed to achieve this as the handset comes equipped with the latest MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 1.81 GHz. Moreover, there is 4 GB of RAM assisting the processor to deliver the kind of performance benchmarked by the handset. The phone hosts the same Octa Core SoC as equipped in the upcoming Meizu M3 Note. The jewel in the crown has to be CyanogenMOD operating system optimised for performance. This handset is sure to capture the Indian handset market and blow apart the competition.
