Samsung is known to launch rugged variants of flagship smartphones in the past and it was only a matter of time before it came out with Galaxy S7 Active. Recently, a series of images went viral on the Internet showing the military grade chassis of Galaxy S7 Active with camouflage colour scheme. This was nothing new since every other Active device in the past flaunted the same design. However, now a new listing on GFXbench with codename SM-G891A has revealed all the technical details of Samsung Galaxy S7 Active as well. The listing reveals that the new smartphone would come running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 operating system, Snapdragon 820 processor and Quad - HD resolution display.
Apart from the military grade dust and water proof chassis, Samsung Galaxy S7 Active also comes with a bigger 5.5-inch display as compared to 5.1 on Galaxy S7. Moreover, the handset will also be missing the fingerprint scanner on the front panel and the physical home button will serve only as home button. The listing shows the device with Snapdragon 820 processor and since Samsung is known to launch its handsets in India with its own Exynos SoC, this one is yet reclusive to Indian handset market.
