It comes as no surprise that Xiaomi has more than a couple of handsets in the list being fondly called as Apple of China. Xiaomi Mi5, the flagship device of the company, has been ranked as No. 1 smartphone in China right now, according to a recent report. The metal and glass body of the device along with features like 16 mp camera, Snapdragon 820 processor and 3 GB RAM seems to have found the liking of Chinese buyers. This smartphone is also the first Mi device to feature a fingerprint scanner cum home button on the front and a USB Type-C.
It also does not comes as a surprise that almost the whole list of the top 10 is occupied with Chinese brands except for one odd brand. One of the largest handset makers in world, Samsung features on the fifth spot on this list with its Galaxy S7 Edge, which boasts of impressive specs and unmatcheable design. Coming to Xiaomi, apart from Mi5, the handset maker also has Redmi Note 3 and Mi Max on the list. Meizu and Oppo are also on the list with MX5 and R9, respectively. The list is an evidence of Chinese buyers bias towards their home turf brands and is an example for rest of the world.
