There has been some talks about the South Korean handset maker, LG coming out with a number of smartwatches in 2017. The news has now been confirmed as an image has surfaced on the Internet showing the FCC certification for the same. In this image one can see the settings menu and the FCC ID assigned. One could also make out that the device will come with the same round dial that was found on the LG Urbane watch, which was much loved by wearable enthusiasts. It is being speculated that the brand will be launching 4 different smartwatch models this time around. However, considering the trend in the wearable tech, it might very well be 4 editions of the same watch. This trend has been adopted already by brands like Apple and Samsung.
Notably, apart from the very first LG watch and the much revered LG Urbane, the handset maker has been pretty dormant on this front. It did try it hands in different kind of watches like LG Watch R and LG Watch Urbane LTE in collaboration with car maker, Audi. Apparently, the Audi edition was a special edition running on WebOS. Moreover, the LG Watch Urbane LTE second edition was the first ever smartphone to feature cellular connectivity but was cancelled by LG for reasons best known to the brand only. In 2017 though, LG is all set to launch a full fledged smartwatch lineup that is expected to be powered by Android Wear and Qualcomm's wearable dedicated Snapdragon Wear processor. The 2017 lineup of LG smartwatches are one of the most anticipated tech at the moment.
