Recently a teaser by the Chinese brand, OnePlus, was in news, which showed the number 4 in the center and upcoming flagship in the rear. It almost confirmed that the next handset from the brand will be called OnePlus 4, that was until today. A new teaser has surfaced on the Internet, which shows the official logo of the brand along with the quote, “Hello 5”. We can now be sure that the OnePlus is indeed going to name the next device as OnePlus 5 as number 4 is considered to be unfortunate in Chinese culture. Recently, another image leaked out showing what looked like the “Never Settle” wallpaper with dark hues, from the new device. Before that, another image was shared by the brand that showed a colorful image indicating that a new handset is indeed in works. We can expect the handset to arrive within a month or two.
Coming to the specifications of the handset, one confirmed bit of information is that it will feature a dual camera module on the rear panel with two different camera lenses. Other than that, it is a given that the device would come with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6 GB of RAM, USB Type-C and 4000 mAh battery to boot. The device will come running on the latest Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and feature the signature Dash Charging as well. There are rumours that Dash Charging will move to v 2.0 with the new handset and will be even better than before. Another interesting bit of rumour is regarding the build of the handset, which is believed to be ceramic in OnePlus 4. This would definitely make the handset stand out amidst all other handsets in the market. Now only if the brand prices it in the same price segment as its previous handset, and it will have yet another Flagship killer in its hands.
