Back in January 2017, close on the heels of massive failure of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Huawei launched its own phablet for Android users called Huawei Mate 9. It had all the features of the Note 7 and more, so it was obvious for it to go on to become a best seller. Back then, the handset was launched only in basic colors like Arctic White, Gray, Mocha Brown, Moonlight Silver and Champagne Gold. However, it seems now that the brand is jazzing up the handset and bringing in some pop to the handset. New leaked images have surfaced on the Internet, which show these handsets in attractive red and blue colors.
As pleasing as the handset was on eyes back when it was launched, Red and blue variant are even more so. The finish on the metal jacket of these new variants seem to be matte or satin , which is sure to make these handsets look a lot premium than they already are.
Coming to the specifications, the handset is powered by Huawei's in-house Kirin 960, Octa-core CPU that has been clocked at 2.4-GHz and coupled with massive 4 GB of RAM. The highlights of the handset has to be the Leica dual camera module (20+12 MP) on the rear module that has been much applauded and massive 5.9-inch full HD display on the front. Other features of the device include Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, HUAWEI SuperCharge technology and 4000 mAh battery. Huawei has not yet launched the handset in India, but we are hoping that these two variants will find their way to the country.
