Centric, an Indian smartphone brand, has unveiled its new smartphone lineup at MWC 2019 in Barcelona.
The lineup includes the company's first-ever smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a pop-up selfie camera, previously seen on Vivo smartphones. The Centric S1 has a screen-to-body ratio of 92 percent, thanks to the absence of any kind of notch or camera cutout.
The phone has been priced at $310 or around Rs. 22,000, and will make its way to the Indian market sometime in June. At that price point, the smartphone will take on the Vivo V15 Pro and the upcoming Oppo F11 Pro.
The Centric S1 is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. Other specifications include 64GB/128GB internal storage, an AMOLED panel with 700 nits brightness, an 8MP pop-up selfie camera, Pump Express 3.0 fast charging, and a 3800mAh battery.
Centric also unveiled four other smartphones at its MWC 2019 event, across different price brackets These include the Centric L4 at $90 (about Rs. 6,400), Centric A2 at $140 (around Rs. 9,900), Centric G5 at $160 (roughly Rs. 11,400), and the Centric G3 at $250 (about Rs. 17,800). India prices and availability have not been announced yet.
