Grand Theft Auto, or GTA, is the most popular gaming franchise in the entire world. Additionally, the Sony PlayStation series is the most successful gaming console in the world. Thus, a collaboration of the two is all but pending.
A new report by TweakTown suggests that GTA 6, the next version of the game, will launch as soon as November 2020, and will be exclusive to the upcoming Sony PS5 for at least a month. For this, it seems, Sony is paying a massive premium. Locking down a game of this magnitude requires money and power, of which Sony has both.
Microsoft Xbox fans will be pissed, and the company might lose out on a lot of revenue if this happens.
As for GTA 6, the game is rumoured to be based on two major cities in the US now, suggesting a substantially bigger map than GTA 5's Los Santos.
And, for Sony PS5, the next-gen console is rumoured to come with specifications including 24GB of GDDR6 RAM, a Zen 2 CPU, and a Navi GPU from AMD.
