2019 is upon us and so are iPhone 2019 leaks.
In the first-ever render leak for the next iPhone models, prolific leak master OnLeaks has revealed what is supposedly going to be the iPhone XI, pronounced iPhone 11.
Right off the bat, we can see that the iPhone XI will sport a triple camera setup at the back, a first for Apple's iPhone range. However, the arrangement doesn't look all that aesthetically pleasing.
This is because the camera setup is not symmetrical at all. The three lenses are placed haphazardly and we also see an LED flash and a microphone within the setup itself making the renders look hideous.
However, with about nine months to go before the actual launch sometime around September 2019, these are just early leaks meant to arouse interest. This is in no way the finalised design considering Apple must still be working on it internally.
Despite that, the presence of three rear cameras is highly likely considering top Android OEMs have already gone that route, making it the natural transgression for Apple.
Another feature we are expecting on the iPhone 2019 range is an in-display fingerprint sensor. While Apple brought 3D facial recognition with the iPhone X in 2017, it had to sacrifice the fingerprint scanner.
However, with sophisticated technology available now that allows for the scanner to embedded right into the display, the day is not far when you might get the convenience of both face and fingerprint ID mechanisms on an iPhone.
Till then, we hope that this ugly design is not the one Apple picks for its final product.
