Latest Questions about Lenovo Mobiles

How is the after sales of Lenovo smartphones?

Lenovo is an established brand in the handset market with a pan India presence, both online and offline. After the launch of its Vibe and A series of smartphone, the brand climbed the ladder of popularity steadily. It lead to Lenovo establishing a good after sales network across the country. Therefore, it naturally has a better after sales customer experience as compared to other new entrants in the Indian handset market. The official website of the brand has a detailed list of authorized service centers in all major cities for the convenience of its customers. Here is a list of all Lenovo Service Centers.

Why Moto devices are branded Lenovo? Are they manufactured by Lenovo?

Yes! Indeed, since the latest Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4, Lenovo branding has appeared on the packaging as well as the bootup screen of these handsets. Also, all future Motorola handsets will come co-branded with Lenovo. However, that is only because the Chinese handset maker has acquired the American brand. Motorola devices are not manufactured by Lenovo though and happen to be a better choice than Lenovo's own lineup. In case you have selected a Motorola device and worried about the co-branding, please be assured that the handset is 100% Motorola and its just the branding of Lenovo that has been slapped on.

I was thinking of buying a Lenovo handset but other Chinese brands have cheaper and better smartphones? Help me decide.

To be fair here, Lenovo itself is a Chinese brand albeit it is the one with considerably more footing in the Indian handset market as compared to the new entrants. However, brands like Xiaomi and LeEco are fast becoming a common household name with some of the most value for money devices in their lineup. LeEco has even started manufacturing its handsets in the country and is well on its way to setting up a distribution network in the country. If you are looking to get a device with a well oiled after sales network behind it, Lenovo is your choice. And if you would like to have more and more features, but with after sales that’s still setting up in India, you can go with Xiaomi and LeEco. But, don’t worry other major brands too will definitely be providing a healthy network of service centers in India as it’s a huge and developing market.

I am confused between Lenovo and Motorola. Please help me decide.

Motorola was acquired by Lenovo a little over three years and now comes co-branded as Moto by Lenovo. However, do not get confused between these two brands as Lenovo only owns the brand. Moto devices are still manufactured by Motorola and are completely different lineup from Lenovo's own lineup.

How is Lenovo Vibe K Note series? Should I go for it?

Lenovo managed to come into the budget smartphone scenario in Indian handset market with Lenovo K3 Note and since than has not looked back. This series only got better with every successive generation as K4 Note brings the VR support, K5 Note brought better specifications and now speculations are rife about the K6 Note. If you are looking for a handset with a trusted brand backing it and good value for money factor, Vibe K series is a good one. You can also take a look at Moto series of handsets.
