Xiaomi is all set to follow up last year's smart home gadgets event with the Smarter Living 2020 event in Bengaluru this year. Much like last year, Xiaomi's smarter living event will see the launch of newer ecosystem products, which will be a refreshing change from the barrage of smartphones that the Chinese electronics brand has been releasing in 2019. Here's a look at what's coming at the September 17 event.
Xiaomi has all but confirmed the announcement of the Mi Band 4 at the Smarter Living 2020 event to be held in Bengaluru. The Mi Band 4 has already been launched in China and is making its way to the Indian market quite a few months after that. The big difference between the Mi Band 4 and its predecessor, Mi Band 3, is a colour OLED panel on top. Other than that, most features and design elements are pretty much the same. Price is expected to start at around Rs 2,000 in India.

Xiaomi India CEO Manu Kumar Jain has also hinted quite blatantly at the launch of Xiaomi's biggest smart TV launch in India yet, the one with a 65-inch display panel. The 65-inch model is already available in China and starts at about Rs 63,300. India price could be closer to Rs 60,000--or even less--given the gap between the launch timelines.
Other than the teaser for a new large smart TV, Xiaomi also hintedΒ that it would soon be bringing Netflix support to the Mi TV range. This comes months after the brand had promised that it is working with OTT platforms to onboard their services onto the PatchWall UI.
Apart from the Mi Band 4 and the 65-inch Mi TV, Xiaomi is expected to unveil one more product from its ecosystem at the Smarter Living 2020 event next week. Whether it would be another air purifier, something for automobiles or commercial use remains to be seen.Β
