Apple is that one brand which boasts of amped up hype around its next launch as soon as a device is launched by the brand. The handset maker has already launched the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus worldwide. This year there is a new color variant called Rose Gold and it looks quite easy on eyes. Here is an overview of the latest smartphone from Cupertino-based tech giant.
Design
The design of the handset does not vary much from the iPhone 6 as is the tradition with follow up devices. The handset comes with the same design aesthetics and metal chassis as found in the previous iPhone albeit, with slight modifications. Thehe iPhone 6s features same thinness as that of iPhone 6 and weight as well. However, we seriously wish that Apple could have done away with the protruding camera module on the rear panel.
Display
Apple takes pride in its Retina display technology that outperforms most handsets in the market. The handset maker has stuck to the 4.7-inch display this time around with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels that translates to a pixel density of 326 ppi. However, the Retina display technology makes up for the brightness and clarity. Moreover, the brand has equipped the display of the new device with enhanced 3D Touch which does much more than what multi-touch can do.
User Experience
One aspect of the handset that you cannot question is the user experience as the iOS is the best interface when it comes to efficiency and simplicity. The latest update in the operating system is iOS9 and iPhone 6S comes with the same pre-loaded in it.
Performance and Battery Life
As is the case with all Apple iPhones, the specifications of the device is not something that looks great on the paper. This year the handset manufacturer has equipped the new handset with latest A9 processor, which is capable of delivering 2x performance over last generation devices. However, what makes a difference is the perfect harmony between the hardware and software, which delivers a great performance. Also, the battery unit inside the rear panel of the device is a 1715 mAh unit, which is good enough to last a whole day.
Camera Technology
Apple has also managed to revolutionise the smartphone camera technology with its iSight snapper. The lates iPhone comes with a 12 Megapixel primary camera on the rear panel with iSight sensor, which is a first major bump in camera resolution since iPhone 4s. On its front panel, the handset bears a 5 Megapixel Facetime snapper that is also more than capable of capturing stunning selfies.
Connectivity
Apple iPhone 6S will be coming with support for both 3G and 4G LTE connectivity for a super fast Internet connectivity. Other options on the handset includes NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Lightning port. However, it would be better to know that data transfer is not possible through Bluetooth and NFC is customised to be used only with Apple Pay.
Verdict
The Apple iPhone 6s is now doubt a smartphone marvel as all Apple iPhones are, however, it offers nothing significant over last year's iPhone 6. If you are looking for a stunning color and minimal added benefits offered by 3D touch, then only its worth upgrading to the latest offering from Apple.
