The Taiwanese handset maker, HTC, has always been known for manufacturing handsets that are lauded for their design and specifications. However, the brand kind of went into laid-back mode when it came out with HTC One M9 and the result was not so impressive. However, HTC changed the scenario with its last launch, HTC 10. This handset managed to impress one and all with its signature HTC design and latest specifications. Now, the brand has launched a new variant of its flagship called HTC 10 Evo, which is slightly better variant of the original flagship. Here is the overview of the handset to give you details of the same.
Corning Gorilla Glass 5: When you are getting an expensive smartphone, you would not want it to get damaged in any manner. And the display of the handset is most prone to a damage when dropped from a height. However, that is not the case with HTC 10 Evo, since it comes with a layer of latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the display.
IP57 rating: The durability of the handset is not just limited to the display of the handset itself. HTC 10 Evo has been IP57 certified by the brand, which means that it comes with resistance to dust and water. Therefore, this device has indeed been designed to last and survive minor drops and splashes.
HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio: One of the most compelling highlight of first two generation of HTC One series was the front firing speakers accompanied with HTC Boomsound technology. The audio output was something worth lauding for and made those handsets, a goal for music lovers.
Brilliant cameras: HTC is the brand that started the Ultrapixel frenzy and is known for the cameras on its handsets. The HTC 10 Evo is not an exception as it comes with a 16 Megapixels primary snapper with features like PDAF, BSI, OIS and Pro mode for enhanced photography. The front camera is an 8 Megapixels unit that has been equipped BSI sensor and has a unique selfie panorama feature to capture more people in a selfie.
Dated Processor: While the handset is a high end device and has been priced in the same range as some of the flagship devices including HTC's own 10, it does not live up to them. This is primarily because while other handsets at this price point offer the latest Snapdragon 820/821 processor, HTC 10 Evo comes with the dated Snapdragon 810 processor.
