LG created some stir in the market with the G3. There is QuadHD display, 5.5-inch screen and powerful hardware under the plasticky frame of LG's flagship. But it just costs too much and for some, it is just too powerful and what to do with that single-SIM capability when what is needed is dual-SIM feature. LG thought to not disappoint such users and came out with a variant of the G3 called G3 Stylus and even gave it a stylus.
What are specs like?
Like the LG G3, the G3 Stylus also sports a 5.5-inch screen but with lower display resolution of 960x540 pixels. The G3 Stylus can handle two SIM cards and comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. A 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM finds its way on to the G3 Stylus. There is 8GB internal storage provided on LG G3 Stylus and it can be expanded further up to 32GB via a microSD card. A 13-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera can be found on the G3 Stylus. A 3000mAH battery powers the G3 Stylus and it can keep the smartphone running for 25 hours of talktime.
Should I buy one?
LG G3 has spawned a few 'off-springs' and the G3 Stylus is one of them. What Samsung did with the Galaxy Note, LG did with G3 Stylus. But the change is not just about adding a stylus and LG understood it quite early to even price the device on a lower side. In fact, the G3 Stylus brings the G3 experience down to the mid-range smartphone segment and that is some bad news for Moto G. Moreover, the G3 Stylus underscores the Galaxy Note 4 and soldiers on to outperform its rival from Samsung. If there is one nice phablet alternative today which is good on specs and light-weight too as well, look no further than the G3 Stylus.
