LG not only has a great flagship lineup but also offers one of the most value for money mid-range lineup to its loyalists. The brand has a phablet lineup with dedicated stylus for those who are sold on big displays and ease of stylus. LG has now added a brand new handset to the existing lineup called LG Stylus 3. From massive display to fingerprint scanner, this handset ticks all the right boxes on the chart. Here is a brief overview of the handset for those who are looking for a good branded handset in affordable price segment.
Improved Pen Pop 2.0: LG claims that while the stylus remains the same, the whole UI has been optimised a lot to enhance stylus experience. The cherry on cake is the Pen Pop 2.0, which when you pull out the stylus gives you an interactive menu to perform stylus oriented tasks, making it easier to operate.
Screen-Off Memo: This is feature taken from the books of Samsung but is very handy nonetheless. Using this feature, you can pull out the stylus on a locked device and start writing on the turned off display like a notepad. This is a very handy feature to keep notes and memos at the spur of moment.
SOS Mode: This is a mandated feature by the government of India but is a very useful one at that. It can be activated by quickly pressing power button thrice and the handset will dial 112 by default.
Knock On: This is a proprietary LG feature, that has been adopted by many other handset maker brands. This lets users turn on the handset by simply tapping on the display twice, which is pretty convenient.
Display is slightly dull: The handset is a multimedia paradise with the massive display, however, that is the extension of it. It comes with a resolution of 1280x720, which when compared to the size of 5.7-inch makes for a pretty dull display with a pixel density of 258 ppi. Direct sunlight and usual visibility would be slightly lower than usual.
