The South Korean handset maker, LG has always been on top of its game when it comes to the high end devices. Right from the LG G3, its flagship devices have been revered by one and all. Now, the brand has come out with its first ever modular device, G5 and a new series launched with V20. While the G5 was not received quite well, V20 has been tagged as the most underrated smartphone of the year by reviewers. Here is a brief overview of the handset for those who are keen on picking one up for themselves.
Dual Display: The main USP of the handset is the dual display that dominates the front of the device. The main display of the handset measures a good 5.7-inch with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 Pixels viz. Quad HD. However, there is a second display right above the main that measures 2.1 inches and has a resolution of 160 x 1040 pixels. This display is used to keep all your favorite shortcuts, notifications, contacts and image among others.
Dual Camera: Since LG could not contend itself with just dual display, it went ahead and even plonked a dual camera module on the rear panel. The ducal camera on this handset has a 16 Megapixels main snapper and an 8 MP Wide-Angle Lens accompanying it. This results in improved detailing and imaging from the camera.
Android Nougat: There are very few handsets in the market as of now that comes with the latest iteration of the Android. However, LG V20 happens to be the first ever smartphone that comes with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Corning Gorilla Glass 4: Protecting the stunning dual display on the front is the layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. In essence, this means that the display on the front of this device quite protected against the scratches and shatter that might occur upon usage.
Reaching the secondary display is bit inconvenient: While the secondary display on this device is pretty useful, reaching it is a pain. The display on top needs the user to shift the grip on the handset to be able to reach and actually use it. This puts the device at the risk of being dropped by the user.
