The South Korean handset maker, is all set to launch the next generation of the V20 smartphone, which was known for its unique design and secondary display. However, this time around, the brand is sticking to the new design aesthetic it has adopted with the LG G6. Moreover, the handset maker is getting rid of the secondary display in flavour of the new display it equipped the flagship device with. Read on to know why should or should not buy the smartphone.
Why should you buy?
Bezel-less Infinity display
The biggest pro of having the LG V30 is the 6.2-inch display with Quad-HD resolution that it comes packing on the fascia. What makes things interesting is that the display features the same 18:9 aspect ratio, which the Full Vision display on the V20 featured. Not only does this make the handset a good choice for multimedia lovers but also gives the bezel-less appearance, that we have come to love. Moreover, owing to the bezel-less design, the device feels more compact in hand despite bearing a massive 6.2-inch display.
Dual Camera module
LG was one of the first brand to equip its handsets with a dual camera module and LG V30 being one of the flagship device gets the same. The rear camera module on the smartphone is a combo of 13MP + 13MP dual pixel camera, which is said to come bearing an aperture size of f/1.6, the biggest in the smartphone market at the moment. Also, the camera has been equipped with LG Crystal Clear Lens, which allows in more light for crisp and clear images.
Powerful spec sheet
It would not be a flagship device if it does not have a spec sheet to match the tag. The LG V30 comes flaunting the newest and powerful Snapdragon 835 processor, which has been mated to 4GB of RAM. Also, the smartphone comes with 64GB of expandable storage with support for up to 2TB microSD cards.
Why should you not buy?
Hybrid SIM
What many do not like in a smartphone is to have an option and yet not being able to use it without letting go of another. However, the LG V30 has been equipped with a Hybrid SIM slot, which means you can either use dual SIM or single SIM and microSD card. This might be deal breaker for a lot of users, who need both dual SIM functionality and expandable memory.
Verdict
The LG V30 is indeed a great smartphone, which comes with a spec sheet that is par for course when it comes to high end flagship device. From the eye-catching design to powerful performance, this smartphone has it all. Therefore, if you are looking for a flagship device, the LG V30 is a good option to consider.
