The Indian handset maker, Micromax seem to be hellbent on gaining back the lost ground in Indian handset market. After launching its flagship device with dual camera, the brand now came up with new Evok series of handsets to be sold exclusively on Flipkart. The brand has launched couple of handset for starters, called Evok Note and Evok Power. As is clear from the name, Micromax Evok Note is a display centric device with massive display on the front panel. Here is a brief overview of the handset for those who are looking for a massive handset in budget.
Micromax's Secure Vault: This is a feature that debuted with the Micromax' flagship Dual 5 handset and is one of the most sought after feature. Using this feature, you can maintain a separate private space on your phone for personal texts, calls, apps and pictures. Only you can access the Vault using a special password set for it by yourself and access it by putting in the special password from the lockscreen. You can still enter your regular password and access the regular space. This is a very convenient and handy feature for those who are bound to share their handsets a lot and want to maintain a separate space for personal use.
Good display: Micromax has equipped this handset with a massive 5.5-inch display on the front to justify the nomenclature of the device. The display comes with full HD resolution viz. 1920 x 1080 pixels, which means a good pixel density of 401 ppi for sharp and vivid viewing experience. Moreover, there is a layer of 2.5D curved glass on the top to give it a smooth feel in the hand.
Good camera: The brand has equipped this handset with regular 13 Megapixels snapper and dual tone LED flash on the rear panel. It user interface is equipped with features like Continuos Shooting, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Auto Flash, Face detection and touch to focus. On the other hand, the front panel of the handset boasts of a 5 Megapixels snapper, which would appeal to selfie lovers.
Powerful battery: Having a good battery is always a plus as it lets user enjoy whatever they do on their smartphone for longer duration. The bigger footprint of the handset allowed Micromax to place a bigger 4000 mAh battery under the rear panel of this handset, which can easily last a whole day if used moderately.
Mediatek Processor: This is one of the cons of budget smartphone, which does not make sense now that we have budget variants of Snapdragon as well. Owing to the processor inside, you might witness a slight lag or heating up on occasions.
