The South Korean handset manufacturer, Samsung is already treading a different path with new series of smartphones catering to budget and mid range segment of Indian handset market. Samsung has already launched A and J series of smartphones around the globe to cater to these niche markets. The Galaxy A series of smartphone is targeted towards mid range buyers and Samsung promotes the same as a combination of style and performance. Samsung has now added Galaxy A9 to this series of stylish smartphones. This is a brief overview of the handset to let our users decide whether they would like to opt for the new device or not.
Fast fingerprint reader: This handset comes with a proper fingerprint scanner integrated in the home button on front panel. The fingerprint scanner on Galaxy A9 is every bit as good as ones found on the flagship devices.
Rarely heats up: This handset comes with the premium metallic unibody design, which are always prone to heat up during continuous usage. However, it comes as a pleasant surprise that the Galaxy A9 does not heat up all that much, which is a good thing.
Good display: Coming to the display of the handset, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A9 with a 6-inch display with Super AMOLED panel for an enhanced viewing experience. The viewing experience is further enhanced by the full HD resolution viz. 1920 x 1080 pixels offered by the display. The color production and legibility on this device is quite good.
Mediocre camera: While the camera on Galaxy A9 is pretty decent to say the least, it lacks a certain quality to it. Pictures taken by the handset are lacking in details as well as sharpness, which might not be a good thing for a device at this price.
