The South Korean handset maker, Samsung has lately learned its lesson and has now various series of handsets across different segments. One of the most popular series from the brand has to be the J-series, which has some great value for money handsets. Recently, Samsung added the J7 Max to the line-up, which as the name suggests, comes with a massive display and bigger battery. Priced under Rs 20,000, this handset brings a lot to the table in terms of aesthetics as well as features. Here is a brief overview of the device for those who are considering the handset for their next purchase.
Powerful Selfie Camera: Samsung has constantly been upping the ante when it comes to the imaging department with powerful cameras on both front and rear end. Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is no exception as it comes flaunting a good 13MP snapper on both front and rear panel. This will definitely appeal to those who love to click lots of selfies. Moreover, the front selfie camera on the device has been accompanied with an LED flash as well for those low light selfies.
Smart Glow Ring: This is a proprietary feature from Samsung, which is as useful as it looks good. The ring is locate on the rear panel around the camera module. Basically, the ring is used to notify users of any notifications and glows in different hues for different apps. Moreover, Samsung has also dedicated a whole settings section to the Smart Glow Ring, where it can be set to notify users when someone opens an app they don’t want them to or assist in the selfie mirror.
Sturdy Build with good display: The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max boasts of a very durable and sturdy build quality, which is the signature design of the J-series now. The all metal sleek profile along with the massive 5.7-inch display on the front makes for a handset that feels very premium in the hand. Its display has 2.5D curved edges adding to the hand feel along with full HD resolution for a good viewing experience.
De-bloated Samsung Interface: Samsung has been lambasted quite a bit in the past owing to the bloated Touchwiz user interface, which made the whole experience laggy. However, that is not the case anymore since the brand has overhauled the whole interface and named it Experience UI.
No AMOLED display: When you have invested a significant amount of money in a handset, you would expect it to have the best that the Samsung has to offer. However, while AMOLED panels are Samsung’s proprietary, for some reasons the Galaxy J7 Max comes with a IPS LCD panel, which is a downer.
