There was a time when the South Korean handset maker, Samsung was known for some of the best flip phones in the market. From the tiniest of flip phones to aesthetically good looking ones, Samsung has been there done that. However, with the onset of Android touchscreen smartphones, flip phones were the first to go out of circulation. Samsung tried to keep the battle waging with its Android-based flip phones, but none of them could please the crowd. One of the main reason behind their failure was the exorbitant price tags they come with. The brand has now launched a new phone called Samsung Leadership 8, which continues on the line of previous flip phones.
Why should you buy?
Dual display flip smartphone
The Samsung Leadership 8 is yet another flip smartphone from the brand that comes with two 4.2-inch Super AMOLED displays with Full HD resolution. It follows the same design philosophy as the flagship device from the brand and is one of the best looking smartphone in its segment. However, the design is not for everyone as using the inner display is a lot finicky.
The Galaxy S8 was the first smartphone from the brand that came with a camera that blew the competition out of the water. The Samsung Leadership 8 comes with the same 12MP dual pixel camera on the rear panel, which has been lauded on the S8 duo.
Why should you not buy?
For a smartphone that flaunts two displays of the same size, Samsung Leadership 8 sure does skimp on the battery life. For some reason, the brand decided that the Leadership 8 is better off with a 2,300mAh battery. You might find yourself hunting for the charger before the day runs out.
While the handset does not make much sense today, but it is true that flip phones have their niche market and loyal users. While the handset is high on aesthetics and has X-factor going for it, it is not for everyone. If you want your smartphone to have a premium feel, Samsung Leadership 8 is definitely the way to go.
