The South Korean handset maker, Samsung has been branching out its smartphone lineup for a while now and everyone is pretty happy with the same. From Galaxy A series to J, Samsung has launched a smartphone for every pocket. The handset maker also went a step ahead and launched the Z series with its own home-baked operating system for entry level users. Recently, the brand launched the 4th generation of this series, aptly called Samsung Z4. While the handset is pretty impressive, it does not hold a candle to the already existing smartphones in the market. Here is a brief overview of the handset for those who might be interested in this one over other budget handsets.
Tizen OS: The unique selling point of this handset has to be the Samsung's own custom operating system called Tizen OS. Unlike other custom interfaces, which are based on Google's Android OS, Tizen happens to be a completely new operating system developed from the scratch by the brand. According to Samsung, this is one of the easiest operating system to use and is suitable for novice users.
Super AMOLED: The handset comes with Samsung's own Super AMOLED display, which is known for its brilliant reproduction of color. Not only does it have impressive clarity and contrast, but is also battery conserving.
Small battery: The handset comes with a disappointing battery, which is a deal breaker for a large number of Indian consumers. The rear panel of this device houses a 2050 mAh battery, which may not last even a day on a full charge.
Tizen is not as popular: The USP of the handset also happens to be the deal breaker for this device. While the Tizen OS is pretty easy to use but is not widely recognised by app developers and is missing important apps. Therefore, in case you are looking to buy this handset, make sure that your daily use apps are supported by the handset.
Fingerprint scanner missing: Another major drawback of this handset is that it is missing the fingerprint scanner. Since, we already have smartphones available in the handset market at the same price with the feature, it makes no sense to go for the Samsung Z4.
