There was a time when having a front camera as low as 0.3 Megapixels was a novelty and was used solely for Skype and video calling. However, some geniuses found in it a way to click self portraits and they went on to be called selfies. Such is the craze among smartphone users for selfies that brands went on to manufacture selfie smartphones for that very reason. Today, we have handsets that have better cameras on front and not on their rear panel as a primary snapper. Vivo has now come up with a first of its kind selfie smartphone with world's first ever 20 Megapixels front camera. This handset the V5 and here is a brief overview of the same.
20 Megapixels Front Camera: We have already mentioned it and this is the main highlight of Vivo V5 that has recently been launched. The handset is first of its kind to come with a powerful 20 Megapixels front snapper for all those who love to click selfies. The picture quality is further enhanced by the enhanced beauty mode accompanying the camera interface.
Front Flash: Vivo is marketing this handset as the one with moonlight camera on the front for its front flash. The brand claims that the front selfie flash on the handset produces a soft light akin to moonlight for natural looking selfies. This further appeals to those who are a huge fan of clicking selfies.
Hi-Fi Music: This handset is also a good one for those who love to use their smartphones for listening to music. Vivo has equipped the device with AK4376 dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip, which is designed to improve the audio quality.
Eye Protection Mode: Vivo has provided an eye protection mode in this handset, which is quite a useful feature to have. This feature, when enabled filters the blue light completely to protect the eyes of the user. A must have for anyone who use their devices for prolonged period and are at risk of weak eyesight.
Lackluster Build quality: One of the issues plaguing budget handsets is the build quality, however, Vivo has priced V5 above INR 15,000 and as such we can expect a decent build from the handset. However, that is not the case for V5 as the build quality feels pretty plasticky and tacky.
No Quick Charging: At a time, when most handsets are coming with good batteries and fast charging, not including the same in the handset does not make any sense. There is a a 3000 mAh battery in this handset but without fast charging it does not usually make sense.
