While Motorola decided to skip MWC for the launch of its latest smartphones in its mid-range G series, the rumours of the G6 trio – G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play – have been swirling around the interwebs. We already know that the devices will mark the Lenovo-owned company’s debut in the bezel-less segment with tall 18:9 displays. And while renders have been leaked often, entire specs of the upcoming smartphones from Motorola haven’t been known yet. Until now that is.
Killer Features has learned the complete specs of the Moto G6 Play, the most affordable smartphone in the upcoming G6 range. The G6 Play will be featuring a 5.7-inch display which the brand is referring to as ‘Mas Vision’ to highlight the fact that there’s maximum screen on the fascia. The display will bear a resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, which is most likely expected to Snapdragon 430. For imaging, it’ll be sporting a 13MP primary camera with Rapid Focus technology to lock the focus on the subject quickly. The G6 Play will also come with a beefy 4,000mAh battery. In comparison, the Moto G6 sports a 5.7-inch display with a full HD+ resolution. While it’s certainly powerful than its sibling, it’ll feature a lower battery capacity of 3,000mAh. As per previous rumours, it’ll come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 in two configurations of 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The smartphone is also expected to offer dual cameras at the back, comprising 12MP + 5MP snappers and a 16MP selfie shooter. Here's how the Moto G6 Play will look.
We’ve also learned the pricing of the Moto smartphones. The Moto G6 Play will go on sale for $199 (~Rs 13,000), while G6’s starting price is $249 (~Rs 16,000).
