OnePlus is getting closer to the launch of its truly wireless pair of earphones, if a post by CEO Pete Lau is a yardstick to go by. The executive has hinted that OnePlus will look to polish its wireless headset experience and push it to the extreme, suggesting that truly wireless headphones might be on the way.
In a post on Weibo this week, Lau once again defended the decision of removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from the OnePlus 6T by justifying the strides they are making in the wireless audio department. He said that extreme improvements will be made in the department, with refinement on the cards.
Of course, this could just be speculation and OnePlus might just go ahead and improve the quality of its current Bullets Wireless earphones, adding premium features like noise cancellation, better battery life, or premium materials.
With the OnePlus 7 almost confirmed to not sport a headphone jack, OnePlus fans would be looking for a convenient way to enjoy songs on their phone without the hassle of using USB Type-C headsets. OnePlus hasn't started testing any new headphones yet, so we aren't sure what it has in store for us.
