Oppo spinoff brand Realme launched operations in India last year and has been witnessing a meteoric rise in the Indian smartphone market ever since. Starting with its debut offering, Realme 5, the sub-brand has attracted Indian customers with its strong push towards providing value-for-money like none other. Further strengthening its hold in the market, Realme has now unveiled the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones in India.
The Realme 5 is priced starting at Rs 9,999 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Separately, the 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB variants are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. The phone will be sold in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colour options.
On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model and goes upto Rs 16,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Both phones go on sale on Flipkart and Realme.com; Realme 5 on August 27 and Realme 5 Pro from September 4.
As for specifications, the Realme 5 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ Minidrop display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. The phone comes with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Realme 5 also packs in a large 5000mAh battery for increased screen time.
On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro gets a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display, and comes backed with a Snapdragon 712 SoC. It has upto 8GB RAM and upto 128GB storage, and is the first phone in its segment with a 48MP quad-camera setup. The Realme 5 Pro features a 4035mAh battery and supports VOOC 3,0 fast charging with 20W support.
