Redmi K20 Pro and the Redmi K20 are the latest smartphones from Xiaomi's Redmi brand in the Indian market. Replacing the Poco F1 series in the budget flagship segment, the Redmi K20 Pro is the highlight of the launch with features including a flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset, a seamless design with a pop-up selfie camera, a premium quality gradient back panel, and a triple rear camera setup.
The Redmi K20 Pro starts at Rs 27,999 for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant and Rs 30,999 for the 8GB RAM+256GB storage version. On the other hand, the Redmi K20 is priced at Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999 for 6GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage, respectively. Both of them are the first Redmi phones to come with in-display fingerprint sensors and triple rear cameras.
Both phones sport similar camera setups. They have 48-megapixel f/1.7 primary snapper paired with a 13-megapixel f/2.4 secondary shooter and an 8-megapixel telephoto f/2.4 lens at the back. On the front is a 20-megapixel f/2.0 camera for selfies and video calls.
Starting off with the Redmi K20 Pro, the phone sports a 6.39-inch full-HD AMOLED panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, the first time we have seen an AMOLED panel on a Redmi device. The phone is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with upto 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The K20 Pro is backed by a 4000mAh battery, coupled with high-end 27W fast charging.
The Redmi K20, on the other hand, is powered by a Snapdragon 730 SoC, the latest in Qualcomm's 700 series. The K20 has fast charging, albeit limited to 18W capabilities.
Both phones have been launched in Blue, Red, and Black colour options. They will be available for sale on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores starting July 22, the same date as the Xiaomi Mi 3 5 years back.
