Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaks give us glimpses of an iPhone 8 killer

by Hemal V

After the disastrous failure of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in 2016, the South Korean tech giant has released some out-of-the-world innovative designs in its smartphones to gain back its customer base. With the release of Galaxy S7 in 2016 and Galaxy S8 in April 2017, Samsung has already proven that it is indeed a pioneer of latest technology and design.

Earlier rumours suggested that Samsung may not go ahead with the Galaxy Note series. However, recent reports reveal that the company will soon release the next Galaxy Note smartphone. The Galaxy Note 8 flagship has already been rumoured to come with features similar to the Galaxy S8 but with a wider screen. Though Samsung has not given out even a single piece of information about the upcoming phablet, the speculated release date is August 23, 2017, at its New York event.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to sport infinity display

Adding up to these speculations, images leaked by popular Samsung tipster IceUniverse via his Twitter handle show that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be equipped with an infinity display similar to Galaxy S8. The tipster shared the renders of the supposed smartphone’s front panel.

Last week, IceUniverse had also leaked a couple of images on Twitter suggesting that the Galaxy Note 8 may have either of the two display panels. The recently leaked image suggests that the smartphone would sport a similar display when it is launched. The other rumoured features of the upcoming smartphone include a dual-rear camera with a LED flash mounted between the two shooters.

Where will be the finger print scanner?

There had been several criticisms regarding the placement of the fingerprint scanner in the Galaxy S8. Hence, reports suggest that the company would come up with a more convenient solution for the fingerprint scanner on the rear side. Apple is expected to launch its tenth-anniversary smartphone anytime after September 2017. Hence, we can expect Samsung to likely launch its premium phablet before that so that it can have the upper hand over its arch rival.
