TILE, one of the world's leading community-based finding platform, has unveiled its first set of devices in the Indian market this week. The company's Bluetooth enabled tracker has been launched in India to help users keep a track of their valuables by safeguarding them with TILE devices.
A 'Pack of 1' of the Tile Mate Bluetooth tracker has been priced at Rs 2,499, while the 'Pack of 4' is priced at Rs 7,999. This is pretty steep compared to the price tag of $50 or about Rs 3,500.
When you activate a Tile and attach it to an item, the Tile app on your phone discovers the Tile and establishes a connection to it using your phone's Bluetooth. Once a connection is made between your Tile and mobile device, Tile then uses the location services of your mobile device to communicate the most recent location information to the app.
Tile is thus a handy gadget to keep a track of your valuables that do not have built-in GPS. For instance, while Tile won't be too beneficial with smartphones or tablets, Putting them inside wallets or with passports will help keep track of your belongings on the go.
Tile claims that it has sold more than 15 million trackers sold and locates 4 million unique items everyday globally. Tile users have built the largest, fastest and, most powerful lost and found community in the world.
