Xiaomi recently unveiled its latest Mi MIX Alpha smartphone at an event in China this week. At the same event, the Chinese giant also announced the launch of the truly wireless Mi AirDots Pro 2, its latest in the range of affordable wireless earphones. Similar to their predecessors from last year, the AirDots Pro 2 seem highly inspired from the Apple AirPods in terms of design language.
The Mi AirDots Pro 2 arrive in China at a price tag of CNY 399 or about Rs 4,000, and will go on sale starting September 27 in a White colour option. Much like the AirPods, they feature a semi-in-ear design that is great for users who are not comfortable with in-ear options. The AirDots Pro 2 come in a white charging case.
Apart from that, the pair comes with features including Bluetooth 5.0, LDHC Hi-Res audio codec, dual microphones with voice control and noise cancellation, and an integrated infrared sensor. There are touch controls for volume and track change as well.
The AirDots Pro 2 offer connectivity with both Android as well as iOS devices. As for battery life, the wireless earbuds come with a claimed 4 hours of playback time, extended to 14 hours with the charging case. Thanks to USB Type-C connectivity, the earbuds take about 1 hour to charge completely.
